The Wind Ensemble is South Garland's top performing wind band. The SGCB students have an opportunity once a semester to audition in order to be placed in this group or the Wind Symphony.

During the fall semester, this group consists of the superior performing members of the marching band, joined with the drumline. During the spring semester this group sits down and performs in concerts and contests for the University Interscholastic League (UIL) and Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA)
